Agios Minas Cathedral is the principal Orthodox cathedral in Heraklion on the island of Crete, dedicated to Saint Minas and serving as the seat of the local bishop. It is the largest church on Crete and a central place of worship for the city’s Orthodox community.
Architectural features include a wide nave, prominent iconostasis, and twin towers that dominate the surrounding urban streetscape. The interior contains ecclesiastical art and icons typical of Greek Orthodox cathedrals.
