Agha Bozorg Mosque

Agha Bozorg Mosque is an 18th-century mosque and theological school in the city of Kashan, in Isfahan province, Iran, notable for its balanced, symmetrical design and central dome. It was built to serve both as a place of worship and as a madrasah for religious instruction.

Architectural highlights include a central domed chamber, a large open courtyard, iwans framing the courtyard, and surrounding teaching rooms that form the educational complex. The building’s symmetrical layout and internal proportions make it a frequently cited example of late traditional Iranian mosque architecture.
