Afontova Gora

Afontova Gora is an Upper Paleolithic archaeological complex on the banks of the Yenisei River near Krasnoyarsk in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, known for human remains and stone tool assemblages. The site is important for studies of Pleistocene human occupation in central Siberia.

The location is primarily an archaeological and research site rather than a conventional tourist attraction; records and displays of its finds are held in regional museums. Excavated material includes lithic tools and human skeletal remains representing Late Upper Paleolithic occupations.
