Aberystwyth Arts Centre

The Aberystwyth Arts Centre is a multi-venue cultural complex on the Penglais campus of Aberystwyth University in Aberystwyth, Wales. It is one of the largest arts centres in Wales and serves as a regional hub for performing and visual arts.

The centre contains a main theatre and a cinema alongside gallery spaces and exhibition areas, with regular programme of plays, concerts, film screenings and visual-art shows. There are also artist studios, workshops and community classes, plus an on-site shop, café and bar for visitors.

The arts centre developed as part of Aberystwyth University’s cultural provision and expanded over time into a purpose-built complex that consolidated performance, cinema and gallery spaces. It has grown to host touring productions and local arts activity.

Situated on the Penglais campus above Aberystwyth town in Ceredigion, the centre is within walking distance of the town centre and coastal promenade and is accessed via the university campus roads and nearby town car parks.
