Twin Lakes National Park Travel Guide

The Twin Lakes National Park in southern Negros is a small, rarely visited area of the island. However for those who take the effort to visit the park, untamed beauty and wildlife abound.

The Twin Lakes are only around 20 or 30kms west of the towns of Dumaguete and Valencia in southern Negros, but are very difficult to access. The lakes are surrounded by virgin forest and have all sorts of wildlife all around. There are monkeys and birds galore as well as some striking flora, including orchids.

Guided tours go from both Dumaguete and Valencia by four wheel drive, which is the best way, unless you are adept at riding a motorcycle. Allow a couple of hours from Dumaguete via motorcycle and be prepared for steep, unsealed, and often muddy, tracks.
