The friendly feel of a visit to Tuy Hoa is one of the main attractions, where the locals seem more hospitable than other beach towns and cities. Food, accommodation and drinks are also cheaper than other higher profile places on the coast, although you forego the tourist infrastructure.

For a break from the beach and town, the nearby Nhạn Mountain (Chop Chai) is good for a hike and boasts temple ruins (Cham Temple) and amazing views.
