• Take a banca from the municipal port in Concepcion (Iloilo) - most day trips to Pan de Azucar depart from Concepcion town - and confirm return boat times with your boat operator before going ashore.
• Don't skip the summit: many visitors stay on the shoreline and miss the summit viewpoint and the island's unique volcanic rock formations, so allow time (and a local guide if you prefer) to climb the peak and circle the small trails.
