Legian's close location to Bali's international airport means that this is a pleasant place to lie back on the beach and recover from jetlag for a few hours. However, there isn't really a lot to do here and most people will be happy to move on after a short time.

However, Legian does have a certain seductive charm, and many people do end up spending several days here. There is plenty of beachfront accommodation for those who want to spend the night, with local restaurants serving up tasty treats until late into the night.

The weekend is a good time to visit as there are fire poi and juggling shows after the sun sets and often dancing on the sand until dawn.

Travel to Legian - Getting There

Getting to Legian is easy as Ngurah Rai International Airport is just a 30-minute drive away. There are regular buses to Legian from the bus station near the airport, or visitors can simply take a taxi. There is a regular bus service to Legian from towns and cities such as Kuta (20 minutes).
