this national park houses one of Thailand's largest wild elephant herds.

Of the several waterfalls in the park, Lam Ru Waterfall is the most famous. It has been used by local Buddhist monks as a forest meditation retreat for generations. There are a few shrines scattered around the bottom of the five-tiered falls, which has a large swimming hole ideal for a refreshing dip.

A three kilometer nature trail leads visitors to an isolated cape and Lek Beach, which is only accessible through the park. This is a beautiful place to take a swim, snorkel or just lounge on the sand in relative isolation.

There are also a couple of trails that lead uphill to a panoramic viewpoint. The hike is well worth the effort, as the views over the green Andaman Sea are simply magical. The park itself has a restaurant and plenty of information to help you navigate the many highlights of this national park.
