December to April, Thailand's dry and warm season.

Trivia
Khao Lak is said by most scuba diving experts to be the top jumping-off point for the neighboring Similan Islands.

The area is developed, but not overly so, and provides a fine destination for those wanting to get away from it all. As a resort, Bang Sak provides the necessary home comforts without feeling crowded or too busy. Accommodation overlooks the beach and the sea while the shore is home to longtail boats which ferry visitors up and down the coastline to other beaches.

Bang Sak's main attraction is its perfect and peaceful beach while the stunning waters of the Andaman offer great snorkeling and scuba diving plus boat excursions to the nearby islands.

Travel to Bang Sak - Getting There

Bang Sak is quiet so getting here is a little bit of a trek. A 1-hour flight from Bangkok takes travelers to the nearest airport on Phuket, and a 1-hour transfer by shuttle bus or taxi from Phuket gets visitors to Khao Lak. Driving to Bang Sak directly from Bangkok is possible via National Highway 4, but the journey takes about 11 hours.
