About Haixinsha Island

Haixinsha Island sits just south of Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou’s newer central business district, and just north of Canton Tower, with Ersha Island to the west. Its central position on the river makes it a natural spot to pause between the city’s modern landmarks.

The island’s character is urban and contemporary rather than historic: think promenades, open space and water views framed by high rises. Because it is surrounded by major sights on both banks, it works well as a scenic link in an evening walk when the city lights are on.

Even if you do not linger long, the island is useful as a viewpoint: you can look one way to the dense towers of Zhujiang New Town and the other to Canton Tower and the river corridor through central Guangzhou.
