Located to the east of Zhaioqing city, Dinghu Shan makes an ideal daytrip destination for those who want to escape from the city and immerse themselves in nature.

The main attraction here is Dinghu Mountain, and many visitors come here to climb the top of the mountain and trek through the countryside. Perhaps the best way to get the most out of this area is by joining a mountain climbing group in the nearby city of Guangzhou.
There are also a number of other natural attractions here such as lakes, waterfalls and caves to explore. The Hundred Buddha Cave is a cool place to retreat from the summer heat, while another great way to see the area is by taking a boat trip on Heavenly Lake.
There are a number of places to stay in Dinghu Shan, many offering great views of the countryside from their balconies and rooftops. A good way to get around and see the sights is by taking a boat from Dinghu to Hong Kong. The journey takes about five hours and is very pretty. Simply sit back and watch the scenery slowly slip past.
Travel to Dinghu Shan - Getting There
The easiest way to get here is by flying into the international airport at Guangzhou and then taking a bus straight to Dinghu Shan (2 hours). There are also regular buses from Shenzhen (3 hours), Zhuhai (4 hours) and Wuzhou (3 hours). Trains take 2 hours to reach Dinghu Shan from Guangzhou and 5 hours from Hong Kong.
