Chinese Martyrs Memorial Museum at a Glance#
About Chinese Martyrs Memorial Museum#
This rather palatial, temple-like building houses displays recounting the history of the Kuomintang in Thailand, from their arrival in 1949-when they fled the communist takeover in China-until recent times.
The history consists largely of battles against communist forces in Thailand and Laos, portraying the Kuomintang as responsible for saving the Kingdom of Thailand from communism. There is also a memorial to over 750 Kuomintang soldiers who lost their lives in various battles. The displays consist of information boards and some faded photographs, and the museum is really only worthwhile if you have a strong interest in the activities of the Chinese Nationalist Party.
