Trivia
the name Balingoan comes from the words baling ni juan, which mean 'John's fishing net'.

Little more than a fishing village, there isn't really much for tourists to stop for in Balingoan. However, this is a very peaceful town and could make a good place to spend the night if you arrive too late to cross the water to Camiguin Island.

There are a few places to stay in town, and restaurants mostly serve seafood prepared in the local style. Walking through the town is a pleasant pastime, and walking to the port provides refreshing breezes on a hot day.
