Camiguin Travel Guide

The pear-shaped volcanic island of Camiguin is located just 10 kilometers off the coast of the province of Misamis Oriental. The island is said to be 'born of fire' as it has a total of seven volcanoes.

Travel to Camiguin - Getting There

The easiest way to reach Camiguan is from Cagayan de Oro as there are regular flights from Manila (one hour, 30 minutes). There are also regular buses to places such as to Butuan (3 hours, 30 minutes) and Surigao (six hours) and Iligan (one hour, 30 minutes). From Cagayan de Oro it is a one and a half hour bus ride to Balingoan and then a short ferry ride to Camiguin Island.
