How to Get to Zierikzee
Zierikzee (Zeeland) is most easily reached via Rotterdam The Hague (RTM) or Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) with onward regional trains to Goes or Middelburg and a short bus ride into Zierikzee. The town itself is served by regional bus networks rather than national rail.
Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM): One of the closer international airports to Zierikzee. From RTM take train(s) via Rotterdam or Dordrecht then change to regional trains/buses toward Goes or Middelburg and onward bus to Zierikzee; total travel time is around 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Schiphol offers the widest choice of international flights; trains from Schiphol to Goes take roughly 2-2.5 hours with one change, then a local bus to Zierikzee (about 20-30 minutes). Total travel time from Schiphol is usually around 2.5-3 hours.
Train: The nearest mainline rail hubs are Goes and Middelburg; there is no direct national rail service into the historic centre of Zierikzee. From Goes take Connexxion or other regional buses to Zierikzee (about 20-35 minutes). Trains to Goes from Rotterdam/Amsterdam typically take 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections.
