Yendegaia National Park

Yendegaia National Park is a protected area in Chile’s Magallanes Region that conserves subantarctic forests, mountain terrain, glaciers and coastal fjords. The park comprises river valleys and coastal inlets with extensive southern beech forest and high mountain ridges.

Recreation is oriented towards multi‑day trekking routes, sea approaches and wilderness experiences rather than developed visitor centres; access commonly requires boat transport or long overland journeys. The park was established to protect representative southern Patagonian ecosystems and shoreline‑to‑summit ecological gradients.

Geographically the park sits on the southernmost mainland of continental Chile in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago zone, west of the main channels of the Beagle area and within Magallanes administrative region.
