From Sydney, drive north on the M1 Pacific Motorway (about 1-1.5 hours to The Entrance area) then follow local roads to Ocean View Drive/Wyrrabalong Lookout. Regional buses (Central Coast routes) serve The Entrance and nearby towns; from there a taxi or bike is practical for reaching the headland car parks.

- Park is easiest explored by car - the Wyrrabalong Lookout car park on Ocean View Drive avoids a long walk from The Entrance.
- Visit at half-tide to see the best rock-pooling and shorebird activity along the northern headland.
- Take binoculars for raptor-watching; white-bellied sea-eagles and ospreys are regular overhead.
- Start at the Wyrrabalong Lookout and walk the coastal path toward Norah Head for the best sea views.
