Wolin National Park

Wolin National Park is a protected area on the island of Wolin in north-western Poland that conserves Baltic coastlines, sea cliffs, dunes and mixed forests. It was established in the mid-20th century to protect the island’s distinct coastal and island ecosystems.

Visitors are drawn to the park’s steep sea cliffs and headlands, its shoreline trails and the diversity of birdlife and marine-edge habitats. The park also maintains areas where European bison have been reintroduced and can be seen in managed herds.

The park preserves habitats ranging from open beaches and dunes to beech and mixed forest, and includes marked walking routes and viewpoints along the coast. Conservation work focuses on coastal processes, migratory birds and habitat restoration.

Wolin National Park occupies a portion of Wolin island’s northern shore in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, with the seaside town of Międzyzdroje located near its main access points.
