Wildkogel

Wildkogel is a mountain and alpine recreation area in the Salzburger Land region of Austria, located between the villages of Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg. It is notable for its developed ski terrain and long valley descent attractions.

The area is best known for the long, floodlit toboggan run of about 14 kilometers and a network of ski lifts and pistes serving the Wildkogel Arena. In summer the lifts provide access to marked hiking trails and panoramic viewpoints across the Pinzgau valley.

Tourism infrastructure was expanded in the late 20th and early 21st centuries to serve winter sports and year-round mountain recreation, including cable cars, trails, and visitor facilities. The site functions primarily as a recreational mountain rather than a historical monument.

Geographically it sits in the Kitzbühel Alps section of Salzburg state, in the upper Salzach/Pinzgau region. The nearest settlements are the small towns of Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg am Wildkogel, which provide trailheads and lift terminals.
