Vörösmarty tér is a central public square in downtown Pest, Budapest named after the 19th-century poet Mihály Vörösmarty. It functions as a commercial and social focal point in the city’s inner district.
The square contains a prominent bronze statue of Vörösmarty and is bordered by cafés, restaurants and shops; the pedestrianised Váci utca shopping street begins at the square. It is a seasonal events hub, most notably for the popular winter Christmas market held on the plaza.
The space dates to the 19th century as part of Pest’s urban development and has long been a commercial meeting place in the city. It retains a mix of historic façades and ground-floor retail activity.
Vörösmarty tér sits in central Budapest on the Pest side of the city, at the eastern end of Váci utca and within easy walking distance of the Danube and other central landmarks.

- Statue and shopping street: A bronze statue of the poet Mihály Vörösmarty stands at the centre of the square and gives the place its name; the pedestrian Váci utca shopping street begins at the square.
