Villa Contarini

Villa Contarini is a large 17th- to 18th-century Venetian villa complex in the Veneto region, associated with the noble Contarini family and notable for its palazzo and extensive grounds.

The complex was begun by the Contarini family in the 17th century and enlarged over the 17th and 18th centuries, producing the multi-wing layout and garden arrangements that survive. Over time it has been adapted for public use while retaining its principal architectural features.

The villa sits in the Veneto plain west of Venice, within the municipality historically connected to Padua and accessible from nearby towns and regional roads.
