Ventanillas de Otuzco is a pre-Hispanic funerary site of rock-cut niches near the town of Otuzco, on the outskirts of Cajamarca in northern Peru. The site is characterized by hundreds of small rectangular niches excavated into volcanic tuff.
Archaeologists attribute the Ventanillas de Otuzco niches to regional pre-Inca cultures that used the carved openings for burial or ossuary purposes. The complex reflects funerary practices in the highlands before Spanish contact and was recorded by modern scholars during surveys of the Cajamarca area.
