Valdés Peninsula

Valdés Peninsula is a coastal and marine protected area on the Atlantic coast of Chubut Province in Argentina, noted for its concentration of marine mammals and seabirds. The peninsula’s shores and nearby waters provide breeding and feeding sites for species such as southern right whales, elephant seals, sea lions and penguins.

Wildlife viewing is the main draw, with boat trips and coastal vantage points offering sightings of whales and seal colonies, and terrestrial routes leading to penguin colonies and birding sites.
