Ukranenland

Ukranenland is an open-air museum located in Torgelow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, that interprets the material culture and settlement of the early medieval Slavic tribe known as the Ukrani. It focuses on reconstructed buildings, crafts and interactive displays rather than a single historic building.

The museum was created to present and interpret the medieval history of the Ukrani and the Slavic settlement of the Uckermark region. It developed as a regional cultural and educational project with a focus on experimental archaeology and living-history programming.

The site sits in the town of Torgelow in northeastern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in the Uecker River area of Germany’s historic Uckermark region.
