Tsoungria
Island Small Sporades island with pine forests and beaches
A small islet off Skiathos’ archipelago, Tsoungria attracts boaters for pebble coves, calm anchoring spots and shallow snorkeling waters frequented on day trips from the mainland.
Tsoungria (also spelled Tsougria) is a small Greek islet in the Northern Sporades, located a short distance off the coast of Skiathos. The island is uninhabited outside the tourist season and is characterised by pine woodland, rocky shores, and a few sandy coves.
Boats from Skiathos bring day visitors for swimming, snorkeling, and beach visits; the island’s sheltered bays provide anchorages for excursion vessels and private craft. There are no permanent urban facilities on the islet, which retains a largely natural character.
Historically the islet has been used for maritime and local coastal activities rather than settlement; today it functions primarily as a recreational destination for nearby island visitors.
Tsoungria lies just south of Skiathos in the Aegean Sea, within easy day-trip distance from Skiathos harbour.
