How to Get to Trindade
Trindade (Goiás) is a short trip from Goiânia and is most easily reached by road from Goiânia's airport or bus terminals. Regular buses and taxis connect the two cities and are used by locals and visitors.
Goiânia-Santa Genoveva Airport (GYN): The nearest major airport for Trindade; from the airport you can take a taxi or an intercity bus to Trindade (a short road trip south of Goiânia).
Brasília (BSB): Alternatively, visitors can fly into Brasília and continue by long-distance bus or car to Trindade, though that is a longer overland journey.
Train: There is no significant passenger rail service to Trindade; rail is not generally used for local travel here.
Bus: Frequent municipal and intermunicipal buses connect Goiânia and Trindade - the trip from Goiânia’s bus terminals is typically 20-40 minutes depending on route and traffic and is the normal commuter route for visitors and pilgrims alike.

Trindade is a pilgrimage town where the centre around the basilica is easy to explore on foot. During festival periods crowds make walking the simplest option; outside big events, taxis and local buses connect Trindade with Goiânia and other nearby towns. If you’re travelling during the main religious festivals, expect heavy traffic and plan extra time for transfers.
