Tribeč is a low mountain range in western Slovakia within the Inner Western Carpathians. The range’s highest point is Veľký Tribeč at about 829 metres.
The area offers forested ridges, rocky outcrops and short mountain trails suitable for day hikes and panoramic viewpoints. Routes lead to the summit and to smaller peaks and hillfort sites that provide regional views.
The mountains have been used historically for pasture, forestry and small settlements; archaeological remains and hillfort traces occur on some summits dating to prehistoric and early historic periods. Land use and access have changed gradually with modern conservation and recreational use.
The Tribeč range lies in the Nitra Region of Slovakia, inland from the Danubian lowlands and within driving distance of regional towns such as Nitra.
