How to Get to Timaru#
Timaru is a South Canterbury town best reached by car or coach from Christchurch or Dunedin; the small regional airport provides occasional flights. Intercity buses and rental cars are the most practical ways to arrive and get around.
Timaru Airport (TIU): Small regional airport with scheduled flights (check current routes as they vary seasonally). The airport is about 10-20 minutes from Timaru town centre; taxis cost around NZD 15-30.
