Tierra del Fuego National Park lies on the Argentine side of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago near Ushuaia and preserves subantarctic forest, peatlands, lakes and coastal shoreline. The park was established in 1960 to protect southernmost Andean landscapes and ecosystems.

Marked trails range from short boardwalks at coastal bays to longer forest and lakeside walks, with highlights including Lapataia Bay and Lago Roca. Birdwatching, coastal walks and scenic drives are common visitor activities, and the park is accessible for day trips from Ushuaia.

How to Get to Tierra del Fuego National Park #

From Ushuaia town center, Tierra del Fuego National Park is about a 12-15 km drive west on Route 3. The picturesque Tren del Fin del Mundo (Tourist Train) offers a scenic alternative to road transfer and stops near park trails.
