Terme di Roselle

Terme di Roselle are the remains of a Roman thermal complex at the archaeological site of Roselle (ancient Rusellae) in Tuscany, within the municipality of Grosseto. The baths form a visible part of the Parco Archeologico di Roselle and illustrate the town’s Roman-era public architecture.

Visible at the site are foundations and structural remains of the bathing complex and nearby urban fabric, with paths and panels that help visitors follow the plan of the baths and adjacent ruins. The area is compact and typically visited together with other exposed elements of the ancient town.

Roselle was an Etruscan settlement that became a Roman town; the baths date to the Roman period and were used for public bathing before falling into disuse and burial. The site has been excavated and conserved as part of the archaeological park to expose and interpret the thermal complex and surrounding remains.

The baths sit within the Parco Archeologico di Roselle, a short distance north of the city of Grosseto on the Maremma plain, and are accessible by local roads and park trails.
