Templiner See is a freshwater lake in the state of Brandenburg in northeastern Germany, forming part of the Havel river-lake system just outside the city of Potsdam. The lake has wooded and built-up shores and is integrated into local boating and cycling routes.
The water is used for recreation including small-boat navigation and shoreline walking or cycling; there are public access points from Potsdam.
The lake lies immediately to the south and southwest of central Potsdam and is within the broader Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area, roughly 25 to 30 km southwest of central Berlin.
