The Temple of Castor and Pollux is an ancient Roman temple ruin located in the Roman Forum in Rome, Italy. It is historically dedicated to the twin deities Castor and Pollux and remains one of the forum’s recognisable fragments.
The site is notable for the three standing Corinthian columns set upon a raised podium and for its position amid other major classical ruins in the Forum. Interpretive signs and surrounding remains help place the temple within the urban religious and civic layout of ancient Rome.
Originally built in the Republican era and rebuilt at various times in antiquity, the temple served religious and civic functions connected with the Dioscuri cult and Roman political life. Over centuries it fell into ruin, leaving the surviving columns and podium that are seen today.
