The Temple of Augustus is a Roman temple located on the old Forum in Pula, Istria County, Croatia. It dates to the reign of Emperor Augustus in the late 1st century BC to the early 1st century AD.
The building is notable for its intact classical façade and its prominent position on the Forum, where it forms part of a cluster of Roman monuments including the capitolium area and civic remains. Visitors come to view the exterior architecture, the cella walls and the carved inscription fragments that survive in situ.
Constructed under Roman rule and dedicated to the imperial cult, the temple has survived in much of its external form while other city structures were lost or repurposed. It has undergone conservation and stabilisation work in modern times to preserve the stonework.
The temple sits in the historic centre of Pula, on the elevated Forum close to the cathedral and municipal buildings. Pula is the largest city on the Istrian peninsula and the site is in the pedestrian core of the old town.
