Täschhorn is a 4,491-metre peak in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It is one of the higher summits of the Mischabel range.
A technical alpine mountain, it is visited by experienced climbers for steep rock ridges and glacier approaches rather than by casual tourists. Climbs are typically undertaken from the Saas and Matter valleys and are often combined with neighbouring summits in multi-peak itineraries.
The mountain has been part of Swiss alpinism since the 19th century and features classic high-Alpine climbing routes that have evolved with modern gear and glacier travel techniques. It has no recorded role as a permanent settlement or fortress; its significance is primarily mountaineering and geographic.
