Taconera

Parque de la Taconera is a historic public park in central Pamplona, Navarre, located inside the city rather than on its outskirts. It functions as a municipal green space used for walking and local recreation.

The park contains formal gardens, tree-lined paths and sculptural elements concentrated in a relatively small urban footprint. There are small fenced animal enclosures and areas intended for quiet promenade rather than large-scale attractions.

The layout and many of the ornamental features date from the period when Pamplona expanded its public green spaces in the 18th and 19th centuries; the site has been used continuously as a city park since then. Over time the park has been maintained and adjusted to suit municipal needs while keeping its role as central green space.

The park sits within Pamplona’s central district, a short walk from the historic old town and main squares. Its central urban location means the nearest major transport and commercial areas are within easy walking distance.
