Svetac is a small island in the Adriatic Sea off Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, administratively part of Split-Dalmatia County. The island is one of many minor islands in the central Dalmatian archipelago and lies in open Adriatic waters.
There are no significant settlements or tourist facilities recorded on the island; visits are typically by private boat or special charter. The island’s coastline and surrounding waters are the main draws for boaters and those navigating the Dalmatian islands.
Historically the island has been used intermittently for fishing and seasonal activity by local islanders from nearby inhabited islands. No major built heritage or continuous habitation is recorded for the modern period.
