How to Get to Sullana
Sullana is a regional commercial city in northern Peru's Piura region. Most visitors arrive by road from Piura (PIU) or by interprovincial bus; there is no regular passenger rail service to the city.
Capitán FAP Guillermo Concha Iberico International Airport, Piura (PIU): Piura is the main airport serving the region; from Piura to Sullana it’s a short road trip of around 30-60 minutes depending on traffic and origin point. Taxis and interprovincial buses connect Piura airport to Sullana; fares are inexpensive in local currency (soles).
Talara Airport (TYL): Talara is another regional airport on the northern coast - travel to Sullana from Talara is longer by road and typically handled by intercity buses or private transfers.
Train: Peru’s passenger rail network does not provide regular service to Sullana; rail is not the usual way to reach the city.
Bus: Interprovincial buses are the main way to arrive in Sullana from Piura, Chiclayo, Trujillo and Lima. The Sullana bus terminal handles several operators; travel times vary (Piura ~30-60 minutes, Chiclayo several hours) and ticket prices depend on service class.

Sullana’s central neighbourhoods are walkable, and short trips are commonly done by mototaxi, taxi or colectivo. Intercity buses connect Sullana with Piura and other coastal cities.
