Park Major Perth stadium formerly hosted AFL matches
Subiaco Oval in Perth was Western Australia’s primary stadium for AFL and major events for decades; visitors remember match-day rituals and the stadium’s role in local sporting history.
Subiaco Oval was a major sports stadium located in the suburb of Subiaco in Perth, Western Australia, and served as the city’s principal Australian rules football ground for many decades. It had a large spectator capacity and a long sporting history.
As a stadium it offered a rectangular playing surface surrounded by seated and terraced stands with capacity for tens of thousands of spectators. The venue hosted Australian Football League games, WAFL matches and other large events when it was in active use.
