How to Get to Sliač
Sliač is a small town with good regional rail and bus links within central Slovakia and a small regional airport (SLD). The town is best reached via Zvolen / Banská Bystrica rail hubs for onward regional connections.
Bratislava Airport (BTS): Bratislava is a common international entry point; from there you can travel by rail to Zvolen or Banská Bystrica and then take a regional train or bus to Sliač. Total travel time from Bratislava is roughly 2.5-3.5 hours depending on connections.
Sliač Airport (SLD): Sliač has a small regional airport (SLD) with limited scheduled services; when flights operate they provide the quickest access to the town. If you can fly into SLD, ground transfer to the town centre is short (around 10-15 minutes).
