Skrzyczne is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids in southern Poland, rising to 1,257 metres above sea level. It is an important local high point for both hiking and winter sports.
The summit area features a radio and television mast and a small mountain shelter, and it provides wide views across the Beskids and toward the Tatras on clear days. The mountain is linked to the nearby town of Szczyrk by multiple marked trails and by ski infrastructure on its slopes.
Skrzyczne has been used for recreational hiking and skiing since the early 20th century as the Beskids developed into a regional mountain destination, with lifts and pistes added in the post-war period and maintained as part of the Szczyrk resort complex.
The mountain sits in the Silesian Voivodeship on the southern slope of the Beskid range, close to the town of Szczyrk and within easy reach of regional centres such as Bielsko-Biała.

How to Get to Skrzyczne #
Skrzyczne is best reached from the town of Szczyrk in southern Poland. From Kraków or Katowice, take regional trains or buses to Szczyrk, then use local roads or footpaths to reach the base of the chairlift (about a 15-30 minute walk depending on starting point). The chairlift ascends directly toward Skrzyczne’s summit area.
