Sitno is a 1,009-metre hill and the highest peak of the Štiavnické Mountains in central Slovakia, located in the Banská Bystrica Region. It is a prominent local summit above the surrounding volcanic highlands.
Hiking routes run through mature beech and mixed forest to the summit, with waymarked paths from nearby settlements. The summit area and upper slopes are used for day hikes and shorter walks; the top provides broad views across the range when visibility is good.
A group of medieval castle ruins sits on the upper ridge above the tree line and is the most visible man-made feature. The ruins and hill have been used historically as a local stronghold and lookout.
Sitno stands a few kilometres north of the historic mining town of Banská Štiavnica in central Slovakia, set within forested highlands of the Štiavnické volcanic complex.
