How to Get to Sitges
Sitges is most conveniently reached from Barcelona-El Prat by regular regional trains (Rodalies R2 Sud) - the train is fast, frequent and drops you close to the town centre. Once in Sitges the town is compact and best explored on foot, by local bus or taxi for short climbs.
Barcelona-El Prat (BCN): Barcelona’s El Prat is the main airport for reaching Sitges. From Terminal 2 you can take the R2 regional train into Barcelona Sants then transfer to the Rodalies R2 Sud service to Sitges - total journey time from the airport to Sitges is typically 35-50 minutes and fares are generally around €4-6 one way. A direct taxi from BCN to Sitges takes ~25-40 minutes and usually costs around €50-80 depending on time and luggage.
Reus Airport (REU): Reus is a smaller airport used by some low‑cost carriers and charter flights; it’s farther from Sitges than Barcelona but can be an option outside peak seasons. From Reus you can take a bus or taxi to Sitges - travel time is roughly 40-70 minutes and fares vary by operator (taxis are significantly more expensive than buses).
