Schönhausen Palace

Schönhausen Palace (Schloss Schönhausen) is an 18th-century Baroque palace in the Niederschönhausen area of Pankow, Berlin, originally built as a noble residence and later repurposed for state functions.

Constructed and remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries as a noble residence, the palace later served official functions in the 20th century under the German Democratic Republic and was restored and adapted as a museum and cultural venue after reunification. Its function has shifted from private residence to state use and now public heritage site.

The palace stands in the Niederschönhausen district of Pankow in the northern part of Berlin, within a residential area that is well connected to central Berlin by public transport.
