Säuling is a limestone mountain in the Ammergau Alps on the border between Bavaria (Germany) and Tyrol (Austria), with a summit at about 2,047 metres. It is a prominent local peak visible from the Füssen area.
The mountain offers a single-day alpine climb for hikers and scramblers, with rocky ridges and exposed sections near the summit. From the top there are wide views over the Forggensee, surrounding Bavarian foothills and nearby peaks.
Säuling is a natural feature of the Ammergau range; its present shape is the result of alpine uplift and subsequent erosion. The mountain has been used for recreation and climbing since the 19th and 20th centuries and remains a popular regional hiking objective.
