San Roque Lake is a reservoir in Córdoba Province in central Argentina formed by impounding a local river near the tourist town of Villa Carlos Paz. It functions as both a utility reservoir and a recreational waterbody.
The shoreline hosts marinas, beaches and recreational facilities frequently used for boating, swimming and lakeside leisure by residents and visitors from the provincial capital. Local promenades provide viewpoints over the water.
The reservoir was created through construction of a dam to provide water supply and reduce flood risk for the surrounding valley while also enabling recreation. Its level and use are managed for these multiple functions.
The lake lies in the Punilla Valley area of Córdoba Province, close to Villa Carlos Paz and within driving reach of the provincial capital, Córdoba. The setting combines valley farmland, low hills and built-up lakeside towns.

Lago San Roque sits immediately next to Villa Carlos Paz in Córdoba Province. From Córdoba city take the main road west toward Villa Carlos Paz (the Córdoba-Villa Carlos Paz route/autopista); the drive is roughly 35-40 km and buses run frequently from Córdoba’s long‑distance bus terminal to Villa Carlos Paz. Once in Villa Carlos Paz the lakefront is within the town and a short walk (typically under 10 minutes) from the town bus terminal and main square.

- Approach the embalse via Villa Carlos Paz and the San Roque dam area-many of the lake's viewpoints and promenades are easiest to reach from that town.
