Redland City

Redland City is a local government area in southeast Queensland, Australia, on the coast of Moreton Bay about 25 km southeast of Brisbane. It covers mainland coastal suburbs and nearby bay islands and functions as both a residential and coastal recreation region.

The area contains island beaches, coastal wetlands and boating routes, with islands such as North Stradbroke (Minjerribah), Russell, Macleay and Lamb offering beaches, walking tracks and freshwater lakes on some islands. Mainland foreshore parks and boat ramps provide access for fishing, kayaking and birdwatching.

The islands and coastal plains are part of the traditional lands of the Quandamooka people, and the modern local government administers urban services, island transport links and conservation areas.
