Recoleta Cemetery

A dense collection of stone and marble mausoleums, sculpted tombs, and family vaults lines narrow alleys across the site. Highlights include numerous elaborate 19th- and early 20th-century monuments and the Duarte family vault, where Eva Perón is interred; the site covers several city blocks rather than a single open lawn.
