How to Get to Queulat National Park #
Queulat National Park is accessed from Chile’s Carretera Austral (Ruta 7). The usual road approach is to drive along the Carretera Austral to the Puyuhuapi-Puerto Cisnes area and then take local roads toward the park’s viewpoints and trailheads (many accesses are on gravel roads). Boat access is also used locally for fjord/icefield approaches. Expect remote, often unpaved roads and limited services; plan drives according to local road conditions and timetables.
Tips for Visiting Queulat National Park #
- Approach Queulat from Puyuhuapi along the Carretera Austral and plan to visit in austral summer for the most reliable road access and clearer weather for views of the Hanging Glacier (Ventisquero Colgante).
