The Pyramidenkogel tower is a prominent wooden-and-steel observation structure on Pyramidenkogel hill in Carinthia, Austria, known for its height and panoramic views. It opened in its current form in 2013 and replaced an earlier lookout on the same site.
The present tower was built to replace an older mid-20th-century viewing structure on Pyramidenkogel; the new design and construction were completed and opened in 2013. The site has served as a local viewpoint for decades and was redeveloped to increase capacity and safety.
Sited on the Pyramidenkogel hill above Lake Wörthersee in southern Carinthia, the tower sits in a rural, lake-dotted landscape between the regional centres of Klagenfurt and Villach.
